What stays

  • Direct messages
  • Posting and your profile
  • Accounts you follow
  • Notifications

How to set it up

  1. 01

    Get Feedbreak

Join the early-access list above. We will email you once when the browser listings open.

  2. 02

    Choose what to hide

Setup suggests Reels, Explore and suggestions for Instagram. Switch any of them off on its own.

  3. 03

    Use Instagram on purpose

Open Instagram and reply to messages or post. The scroll is hidden, and a short label explains why.

Instagram has no off switch for Reels

Instagram does not offer a setting to turn Reels off. On the web they show up in the main navigation, in your feed and on Explore. Feedbreak hides them in your own browser and leaves everything else alone.

A calmer way to check in

Many people open Instagram to answer one message and surface forty minutes later. With Reels and Explore hidden, the page has an end. Pro adds an intention prompt, a short question such as “Why are you opening Instagram?” before a feed you have chosen to hide.

Respecting your own rules

Nothing is locked unless you ask for it. You can peek for 15 seconds, show a section once, or always show a creator you love. Locked profiles add a pause before you undo a hide, for the days you want a little help.
