How to set it up

  1. 01

    Get Feedbreak

Add it to your browser when the store listing opens. Join the early-access list above and we will send one email.

  2. 02

    Pick YouTube and a strength

Setup asks what you want from YouTube. Light hides Shorts only. Balanced adds the home feed. Strict adds suggestions and end screens.

  3. 03

    Open YouTube

Shorts are gone before the page paints. Every hidden area says why, with Show once and Always show.

Why hide Shorts instead of avoiding them

Shorts are built to make the next one effortless. Willpower is a poor match for that, so the easier fix is to not see them at all. On desktop YouTube shows Shorts in several places: a shelf in the home feed, a tab in the sidebar, rows in search results and links under videos.

Feedbreak hides all of those places with one choice. You keep search, your subscriptions and the long videos you actually wanted.

If you still want some Shorts

Pro has a daily budget. Pick ten minutes, watch on purpose, and Shorts are hidden again until midnight. If a creator you love posts Shorts, add them to your always-show list and their videos stay visible.

What it does not do

Feedbreak never reads video titles, page text or your account name. Everything runs on your device. Read the privacy policy for the full list.
