Hide the X For You timeline

Feedbreak hides For You, trends and Who to follow on X, and keeps the Following tab, lists, messages and search.

Coming soon to the Chrome Web Store
Also coming to Edge, Firefox and Safari. One email at launch, no spam.

What it hides

  • For You timeline
  • Trends
  • Who to follow
  • Promoted posts (optional)

What stays

  • Following timeline
  • Lists
  • Direct messages
  • Search and notifications

How to set it up

  1. 01

    Get Feedbreak

Join the early-access list above. We will email once when it is available.

  2. 02

    Pick what to hide

For You and trends are the usual choices. Following and lists stay.

  3. 03

    Open X

You see people you chose to follow, not a ranking of what holds attention.

Following versus For You

The Following timeline shows people you chose, in order. For You is a ranked mix chosen by the platform. If you like X for news and conversation with people you follow, hiding For You often removes most of what makes it tiring.

Keep the useful parts

Search, lists and messages remain. Lists are a good way to read X on purpose: build one for the topics you care about and open it directly.

Gentle by default

Feedbreak eases changes in, explains every hidden area and lets you undo any setting right away.
